From the stage to the street, Kanye West makes sure to come out with a cool and edgy look that lands him on numerous best (and worst) dressed lists. But before he started designing his own threads and wearing skirts on the red carpet, he was working as a sales assistant at the Gap.

While he was probably folding sweaters opposed to cleaning public bathrooms, the “Mercy” rapper wasn’t too fond of this gig, which he laid out in 'Spaceship' from his 2004 debut LP, 'College Dropout.'

With lyrics like, “Let's go back, back to the Gap / Look at my check, wasn't no scratch / So if I stole, wasn't my fault / Yeah I stole, never got caught / They take me to the back and pat me / Askin' me about some khakis," aren’t you glad he wasn’t the one to greet you on your last trip to the shop?
