Kanye West – 10 Rappers With Roots in Chicago

Kanye West may have been born in Atlanta, however, it's safe to say that since moving there at the age of three, West has found his hip-hop roots in Chicago.

He was 19 when he first began producing for local rappers in the Windy City. But it wasn't till he released 'Through the Wire' in 2003, that West put himself on the map. Since that smash hit, West has released seven albums, which includes his 2011 collaborative effort with Jay-Z, 'Watch the Throne.' Not only has West sold millions but he's also won 21 Grammy awards among other accolades throughout his career.
