It appears that we'll be learning even more about Beyonce than we figured with the premiere of her self-directed HBO documentary, 'Life Is But a Dream.'

Her husband, Jay-Z made reference to a miscarriage Bey experienced in the song 'Glory,' released just after the birth of their daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012, but up until now, the singer, in her signature style, has remained mum about the emotional event.

According to US Weekly, Beyonce uses the documentary to reveal some of what happened before and after the tragic loss of her baby a few years ago.

"About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time," says Beyonce in one scene, "And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life. I picked out names. I envisioned what my child would look like ... I was feeling very maternal. I flew back to New York to get my check up -- and no heartbeat. Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat."

Taking a page from Jay, the chanteuse penned a few verses about that difficult time in their lives before Blue Ivy came along. The song will be included on her next album.

"I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I've ever written in my life," she shares. "It was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I've ever been through."

'Life Is But a Dream' is set to premiere on HBO Feb.16.
