On June 15, 2007, Cheri Dennis and her cousin were pulled over and Florida cops accused them of having a gun. When she expressed her concerns, she ended up cuffed and booked. "They got to shoving, and they pepper sprayed me and locked my ass up. It wasn't like it was a big altercation," she said in an interview following the arrest. She was charged with disorderly conduct.

According to reports, Dalyrimple, along with the other members of Soul 4 Real, affected 260 victims, eight banks and up to $1,000,000.

Snoop Dogg is infamous for marijuana-related arrests but it was his arrest for being an accomplice to the murder of Phillip Woldermarian in August 1993, that is his most well-known placement behind bars. Snoop apparently was the driver of a jeep from which his bodyguard, McKinley Lee shot Woldemarian. There was a highly-publicized trial surrounding the murder. In February 1996, with the help of attorney Jonnie Cochran, the rapper was found not guilty of all charges except one: voluntary manslaughter. The jury deadlocked on that charge.

But Lil Boosie didn't think this idea applies to him when he attempted to sneak a codeine mixture into the Louisiana State Penitentiary in July 2011. In addition to this charge, he was awaiting trial for various other drug charges as well as a first-degree murder charge.

Lauryn Hill was arrested in June 2012, for tax evasion. The former Fugees member pleaded guilty after failing to pay her taxes from 2005-2007, despite the fact she earned $1.6 million during that time. For her crime, the singer-rapper faces up to three years in the slammer. She was later released from jail on $150,000 bail. Hill still awaits sentencing.

Apparently Kelis isn’t afraid of anyone, even the police. During the morning of June 3, 2007, in Miami, the 'Milkshake' singer started yelling racial profanities to police and continued to do so after she was already told to leave by authorities. Her friends tried to pull her away, but it was too late and Kelis was handcuffed and booked for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence.

Geto Boys' Bushwick Bill was relaxing in his room at a Holiday Inn in Homewood, Ala., in February 1998, when other guests complained about a particular smell emitting from his room. Police found two grams of marijuana as well as a 12-gauge shotgun with four live shells. He was arrested and booked but was soon released on $500 bail. In addition, the incident may have gotten him deported, but that case was dropped in October 2010.

Moments before he was scheduled to perform his set in New York City, William Griffith, better known as Rakim, was arrested. According to police, there was “a warrant issued in 2001 regarding a paternity matter and an issue of non-payment of support.” He was ordered to pay $2,000 in child support and was then released. However, he and his lawyer contended that he was up to date on all payments.
