Petey Pablo thought he was being slick in September 2010, when he tried to sneak a stolen gun in his carry-on luggage and past security at Raleigh Durham International Airport in North Carolina. Unfortunately for him, he was caught and then arrested not just for trying to bring a firearm on a plane but also for carrying a stolen gun. In September 2011, he was sentenced to 35 months in prison after pleading guilty to the charges against him.

It's fair to say that Gucci Mane isn't an angel. But on April 8, 2011, he walked beyond sketchy territory when he picked up a woman at an Atlanta mall for lunch only to tell her that he will pay her $150 "to go to a hotel" instead. Once she refused, he repeatedly tried to push her out of the car as it was moving and soon shoved her out. He was arrested and charged on a misdemeanor battery. The woman survived the incident with only redness on her side and back.

On Dec. 10, 2003, a man accused Nas of grabbing him at Ciclo nightclub in New York City. The argument turned so physical that a bouncer broke up the commotion. However, while the man spoke to bouncer, the rapper threw a bottle at him, cutting his head. Nas turned himself in to police and was charged with assault for that night's incident.

Around the time she was about to celebrate her birthday in May 2007, Brittany Carpentro, better known as Atlanta rapper Diamond, was arrested for allegedly stabbing a girl on her tour bus. The dispute was over a man. According to reports, the fight escalated and one of her associates stabbed the girl. But Carpentro, a former Crime Mob member, is the one who was arrested and held on $20,000 bail.

Crime: Three counts of misdemeanor battery
During the early morning hours of July 15, 2010, Too $hort and one of his friends were arrested for getting into a fight with security guards at an Idaho country club. Apparently, the Bay Area rapper and his friend were inviting underage females to the backstage area during his show that night. He was released once he posted bail and was scheduled to return to court a month later.

During a heated argument in June 2011, South Florida rapper Brisco “began to pummel [18-year-old Giovanni Nagy], to beat him, strike him, punch him, knocking him unconscious and sending him to the hospital,” a Miami officer reported. He turned himself in to the police and was later booked at a Miami-Dade County jail.

Before Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were about to start their set in Ohio on March 28, 2010, Flesh-N-Bone was taken away in handcuffs. While that in itself was a surprise, the main shock was that he was arrested for allegedly striking his mother in the head with a gun in 1998, and charged with domestic violence with a firearm and an assault felony. While he's had run-ins with the law in the past, he claims his innocence.

Only hours after Lil Wayne's first major show in New York City, he was arrested for illegally carrying a gun, though he claims he had a permit for it. When his tour bus got pulled over and searched, police found a .40 caliber pistol and marijuana that was carried by another man on the bus. In October 2009, Wayne pleaded guilty to the charges against him and started his year-long jail sentence in March 2010.

Crime: Suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon
It's no secret that Eminem has a temper. But on June 4, 2000, he acted on it and started a fight with a male friend who had kissed his wife, Kimberly Ann Mathers. As the fight erupted, security stepped in and held the two men when an unloaded firearm fell on the ground. Eminem was arrested on the suspicion that the gun belonged to him. His wife was also taken into custody. They were both released later that day.

Crime: Criminal contempt for violating an order of protection
Since 2007, Foxy Brown and her neighbor, Arlene Raymond, have hardly every gotten along. According to police, Raymond needed to have a protection order placed on Brown due to an incident where the rapper threw a Blackberry at Raymond's head. While it worked for a while, the two women got into a heavy argument that ended with Brown's arrest. She was charged with violating the protection order, which is a class E felony.
