The Drop.fm and Legacy Recordings have teamed up to help celebrate the birthday of legendary funk musician Sly Stone by giving one person the chance to win an album prize pack.

On March 15, Sly Stone, the lead singer of Sly & the Family Stone, turns 70 years old. The singer is most popular for bringing funk music into the mainstream. The band was a funkadelic group that earned notoriety during the late 1960s and early 1970s with memorable songs like ‘Dance to the Music,’ ‘Everyday People’ and ‘Thank You.’

Sly & the Family Stone earn a spot as Legacy Recordings' Artist of the Month for March. To help celebrate the legacy of the group and Sly himself, the label is offering an awesome album prize pack that includes six of their past projects: ‘Stand!’ ‘Fresh,' 'Small Talk,’ ‘A Whole New Thing,’ ‘Dance to the Music’ and ‘There's a Riot Goin' On.’
