Luther Campbell a.k.a. Uncle Luke is speaking out to fellow Miami rapper Rick Ross, warning the Bawse to slow down his gangster lifestyle or else he may end up dead.

In an open letter written in the Miami New Times, Luke uses the recent shoot-out Rick was involved in as a wake-up call. He applauds Rick for being successful but says, “all this gangster bulls— is jeopardizing your career.”

“Hip-hop has a rich history of college guys who never committed a crime rapping about moving kilos of cocaine and taking out snitches,” Luke continues. “Every gangster rapper takes on the role of a real hood legend to build up street cred. But I don’t want you to fall into the trap of believing you are really a gangster.”

Luke tells Rick that his behavior will have him in jail like T.I. or Lil Wayne or worse. “Trust me, you don’t want to go out like Biggie Smalls or Tupac,” the 2 Live Crew leader states. “It’s time you squash your beefs.”
