Coming from a musical family, hip-hop flowed in Travi$ Scott’s blood from an early age. The 20-year-old Houston native started producing beats when he was 16. Influenced by Kanye West, the rapper-producer eventually became his mentor -- 'Ye recruited Scott throughout the making of the ‘Cruel Summer album.’ He eventually landed on ‘Sin City,’ a track off the project that he co-produced.

From dropping out of college to sleeping on couches in New York and L.A., Scott's journey has been worthwhile. His ‘Owl Pharoah’ EP is next on his list of projects to release. “We got some s--- coming in 2013," he told Complex. "I can definitely tell you that it’s a takeover.”
