TLC’s ‘Creep’ Video Surfaces as Rare Unreleased Version

Nearly 20 years ago, TLC rose to the top of the charts with their 1994 hit single, ‘Creep.’ Three videos were shot for the song and, now, one of the alternate versions has surfaced.

Legendary director Lionel C. Martin went into his vault and posted his directorial version online. The clip is vastly different from the one that is widely know to TLC fans.

In his video, Martin takes his visual to the streets as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes ditch their inattentive boyfriends and start dancing in the streets with neighborhood thugs. The R&B trio wore ripped jeans and T-shirts, which is vastly different from the outfits they donned in the original video.

In that video, the girls are wearing cute silky pajamas that reveal their toned abs. In the black-and-white scenes, TLC performs the same choreography as in the alternate version but this time wear baggy jeans, tank tops and flannel shirts.

Judging by the two versions, the original video is much more sleeker and stylistic. We don’t know if the third version will ever see the light of day.
