Album sales are in for two highly anticipated hip-hop releases that debuted last week: veteran rapper T.I.‘s ‘Trouble Man’ and newcomer Chief Keef‘s ‘Finally Rich.’

‘Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head,’ T.I.’s eighth album, debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 2, selling 179,000 copies — a higher spot than his last album, ‘No Mercy,’ which landed at No. 4 upon it’s 2010 release.

‘Trouble Man’ had many delays considering Tip was busy recording the album and simultaneously working on a new season of his reality show, ‘T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle,’ writing a book and preparing for acting roles. His single ‘Ball’ featuring Lil Wayne peaked at No. 11 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts and he received major buzz for ‘Sorry’, his track with Andre 3000 and Stacy Barthe.

As for Chief Keef, the 17-year-old Chicago “drill” scene’s sergeant’s debut album, ‘Finally Rich,’ sold about 50,000 copies in its first week. The project features the likes of 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa and Rick Ross. This year has been a long and fast one for Keef who signed to Interscope Records in June after his local hit, ‘I Don’t Like,’ went viral and was remixed by G.O.O.D. Music head honcho Kanye West, who helped the track become a summer anthem.
