‘The Voice’ Season 4, Episode 8 Recap: Usher Shows Off His Disciplinary Side
The second installment of the battle round on ‘The Voice’ was Dullsville for the most part. A majority of the performances had no wow factors and bland performances were aplenty.
A memorable moment came when Usher showed off his disciplinary side. Jeff Lewis began to laugh during the rehearsal session and the R&B veteran quickly asked, “You find that funny?” He reminded Jeff that a man of his caliber had no time to waste and he takes all of this very seriously. Super awkward!
The last battle showcased Caroline Glaser and Danielle Bradbery -- they sang sang 'Put Your Records On' by Corinne Bailey Rae. Both sweetly performed the tune but the judges were very amused by the vocals. Afterwards, Adam Levine admitted to kicking himself for not picking Caroline during the first round of the blind auditions. Blake Shelton, who was the Team leader for the ladies opted for Danielle and both Usher and Adam went in for the steal. Caroline went for Team Adam.
Of course they’re saving all the good dramatic stuff for next week, which is rumored to be uber-shocking.
