This week on 'The Voice,' the contestants experienced lots of highs and lows and one of the judges strips because it's too hot in the studio.

It was steamy hot last night and not because of the hot judges, but because the air conditioner in the room broke. This caused Usher to take off his sweater and make girls scream. That being said, it was the start of the Top 12 best vocalists this season and there were some hits and misses on tonight’s show.

At the top of the show, Usher gave VEDO the song ‘Rock With You’ by Michael Jackson to perform, which made us all wonder, “Why?” Why would he give one of the less challenging MJ songs to sing this far in the season? The judges didn’t seem to mind, but overall, his performance wasn’t memorable (except for the awkward dance moves).

Another miss came from Garrett Gardner, who had to perform a rock-inspired version of the Backstreet Boys' ‘I Want It That Way.’ Once again, we all wondered, "Why?" Shakira seemed proud and enjoyed it, but Adam Levine summed it up nicely by saying, “it was cool, but I was a little thrown off by it.”

Hits came from the usual suspects: Sasha Allen, Danielle Bradbery and Judith Hill. Sasha belted an emotional ‘Alone’ by Heart. Shakira urged viewers to vote for her and even promised, “I will write a song titled, ‘My Sasha’ if you do.”

Danielle gave an effortless performance of ‘Wasted’ by Carrie Underwood. The girl is 16, and can perform with the likes of all the contestants who are way older than her. She has got some vocal chops and is the biggest contender in the competition.

And the flawless Judith performed ‘You’ve Got a Friend’ by James Taylor and it was perfection from start to finish. It's hard to find flaws in her performances every week.

Tomorrow will be the first results show without the help from the judges.
