It doesn't matter too much if something about the outfit is a little bit off. The-Dream said if he likes it, he's wearing it. This attitude has led him to make some questionable choices when it comes to his attire. Even Jay Z pointed this out when he jokingly said, "I would like to thank the swap meet for his hat" during the Grammy Awards earlier this year. For the August issue of GQ, the esteemed songwriter receives some help with his fashion issues as part of Project Upgrade.

Before the makeover, The-Dream is seen in an outfit marked with very loose fitting jeans and a backwards snapback. GQ's intervention keeps the hitmaker's urban vibe but adds some class to it. The results are a clean, streamlined look for the man who wrote Rihanna's 'Umbrella.'

The new outfit ditches the denim and replaces it with a tighter (but relaxed) fitting pair of J Brand pants embellished by a Louis Vuitton belt. A John Varvatos button-up and a Band of Outsiders tie is added as well. The new look is topped off by a Dolce & Gabbana jacket and, of course, a cap.

The-Dream's new look costs at least $4,883.
