In May 1963, a 13-year-old prodigy emerged as a new pop star.

A teenage Stevie Wonder released the ‘Recorded Live: The 12 Year Old Genius’ album, which shot to the top of the Billboard 200 Albums chart, making Stevie the youngest artist to accomplish this.

At the same time, his single ‘Fingertips Pt. 2,’ hit No. 1 on the Billboard Pop charts. This also made him the first artist to hold down No. 1 spots on the Billboard 200 Album and Pop Singles charts simultaneously.

Fifty years later, Stevie still holds the record as the youngest artist to release a chart-topping album and a chart-topping single.
