Rick Ross’ ‘U.O.E.N.O (You Ain’t Even Know It)’ Date Rape Lyrics at Center of Two Petitions

More drama for Rick Ross. First, he's facing jail time since he was armed -- though his gun license was expired -- at the time of an attempt to take his life earlier this year. Now, not one, but two petitions have been launched against the Rocko track 'U.O.E.N.O. (You Ain't Even Know It),' on which Ross is featured. At the heart of the problem is the controversial content, which is seen as a glorification of date rape.

In the track, Ricky Rozay drops the line: “Put molly all in her champagne / She ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that / She ain’t even know it.”

In case you're not familiar, "molly" refers to MDMA or ecstasy, so the inference is that spiking a drink leads to a non-consensual activity.

Change.org wants the Maybach Music Group boss to apologize, since his celebrity status gives more weight to his words. The petition reads:

To: Rick Ross
Publicly apologize for glorifying 'date rape'. It is scary and offensive that you can normalize this in a song and you're a much better artist than that. We respect your freedom of expression, but at the same time we are exercising our freedom of speech in expressing our disappointment at your choice of lyrics.

You are influential. People will listen to your songs and try to live how you live. Yes, even adults are impressionable. Please denounce this blatant promotion of drugging and rape. It has happened too often and to too many people, even people we know to be seen as acceptable.

On the flip, RapRehab.com wants the rapper take responsibility for his words. Founder Paul Porter explained why his petition zones in on Ross and this track, which also features Future, saying, “The problem is not only with the content and date rape, but the problem is that it goes through a corporate structure. Going after Rick Ross is like stepping on the toes. It’s time to go for the heads. The people who green-light the projects. It shouldn’t be broadcast material."

So far, 103.7 WUVS The Beat in Muskegon, Mich., has yanked the song from rotation. A few others have followed suit.

Ross has remained mum about this latest controversy and has yet to respond to the petitions or the suggestion that he is celebrating date rape.
