Philadelphia singer Res' music has some of its roots in pop, R&B and rock genres. As such, there's many influences to be heard in the  music. Fleetwood Mac is one of them, and Res is paying tribute to the legendary soft rock group on her next EP.

The EP, 'Refried Mac,' will feature Res reinterpreting some of Fleetwood Mac's biggest hits alongside producer Tom Spiker. The five-track project is set to drop Oct. 15. Sadly, Fleetwood's 'Go Your Own Way' will not be included in the tracklist.

'Refried Mac' will be Res' first project under Talib Kweli's Javotti Media imprint. The singer and Kweli have previously worked together as musical duo Idle Worship, releasing one mixtape ('Party Robot') and an album ('Habits of the Heart').

"Res is an absolute treasure," Kweli said. "She is one of my favorite artists in the world to work with and listen to. I did not want to live in a world where I could not find Res music, so I'm doing everything I can to help her get it out."

Res is also working on her third solo album, which is set for an early 2014 release. In 2001, she released her debut LP, 'How I Do.'
