It's seems like forever since we've heard any new music from Musiq Soulchild. But apparently, the Philadelphia singer has teamed up with Syleena Johnson for a duets album.

According to ThisIsRNB, the album is titled '9INE' and will boast nine tracks. The soulful duo's plan is to record nine songs in nine days -- and they are almost finished with the project.

Johnson recently sent out a photo to her followers on Twitter showing her and Musiq in the studio. "Nine days, to complete 9 songs! [Me and Musiq Soulchild] in the lab GOIN IN lookin hella regular!#9INE#FEELTHEFIRE," she tweeted.

The album itself will feature three songs from Musiq, three tunes from Johnson and three duets. There's no word on whether they will release the project for free or make it available in stores.

Musiq hasn't released any new material since 2011's 'MusiqInTheMagiq.' Meanwhile, Johnson is reportedly working with producer Bangladesh on her sixth album, 'Chapter 6: Couple Therapy.' The Chicago songbird also stars in TVOne's hit reality series 'R&B Divas,' which has been renewed for a second season.
