Apparently there's no brotherly love between Meek Mill and his native Philadelphia police department.

The rapper claims he was arrested without cause and that when officers detained him, they took pictures of him and posted on Instagram.

Meek was driving his Range Rover SUV on Oct. 31, 2012, when two cops stopped him. According to documents pulled by Courthouse News Service, the police "transported him in custody to the 22nd Police District, took photographs of plaintiff which the officers posted and published, or caused to be posted and published, on Instagram and other social media websites..."

They then held him for nine hours. He was released the following day in the afternoon, but not charged with any criminal activity. This caused Meek to miss a promotional appearance he was scheduled to make in Atlanta.

The Maybach Music Group signee is suing the department for "the loss of numerous sponsorship and endorsements; the loss of plaintiff's solitude, seclusion and privacy; the anxiety and embarrassment associated with plaintiff being placed in a false light; and the anxiety and embarrassment of being seized, detained, confined and imprisoned against plaintiff's will."

As far as new music, Meek revealed cover art for his next mixtape, 'Dreamchasers 3' earlier this month. There's been no official announcement on its release date as of yet.
