Mariah Carey – Worst Pre-Fame Jobs

Before Mariah Carey topped the charts, starred in films and became an 'American Idol' judge, she did everything from waiting tables to sweeping up hair at salons. And when those didn’t work out, she also tried a hand at doing coat and hat check at nightclubs.

Despite her determination to take on these jobs to pay the bills, she never really lasted too long. According to IMDB, she claims she was usually fired because of her attitude and lack of focus on the job and admitted to concentrating on getting backup singing gigs and mixing her demos. She obviously put all her energies in the right place.
