Mariah Carey is set to perform for a good cause this summer. The New York native will showcase her vocal talents at the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert benefiting Hurricane Sandy relief next month.

According to a press release from Carey's label home, Island Def Jam, the free concert will take place at the Great Lawn at Central Park beginning at 7:30PM on July 13. She'll be singing some of her classic songs along with the New York Philharmonic, lead by music director Alan Gilbert.

“I am really looking forward to celebrating the All-Star Game with this fun program,” said Gilbert. “Music might be my main game, but I love baseball, and it’s always exciting when the All-Star Game is hosted in New York. It’s a thrill to be conducting on this special occasion. It is particularly gratifying to be part of this event that will help support those whose lives were affected by Hurricane Sandy; they are our neighbors, and we’re glad we can be there for our community in whatever way we can.”

Fans can obtain free tickets at AllStarGame.com beginning June 26th at 10:00AM ET.

This performance comes three days in advance of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Citi Field, which airs on FOX.

In conjunction with the concert, Major League Baseball will make a $1 million donation for Sandy Relief efforts.
