Mac Wayne Wanted for Armed Robbery, Blind Rapper on the Run From Police
Mac Wayne is in some serious trouble. The blind rapper, who describes himself as “the Ray Charles of rap, 100 percent blind, 100 percent raw,” was recently arrested for armed robbery. He's now on the run from police.
Born Wayne Frisby, the rhymer was arrested after attacking a woman over drugs on Feb. 13, The Herald reports. The victim was to meet with another woman in Marysville, Wash. Upon meeting her, Mac Wayne approached the victim's car and opened the door, used a knife to chop a chunk of her hair and threatened to stab her if she didn’t hand over her car keys.
Wayne, 28, was taken into custody that night and had methamphetamine, cocaine and heroine hidden in his clothes. He made bail on the robbery and drug charges. Thursday (March 7), prosecutors charged him with first-degree robbery and drug possession. A warrant has been issued for his arrest after authorities learned he fled town.
He's believed to be in California or headed to Las Vegas.
This isn’t the first time the blind rapper has faced legal issues. He has convictions for drug crimes and was arrested in January for possession of a gun. He is also believed to have a connection to the murder of an 82-year-old man who was stabbed.
