While everyone is wagering who will take home the Grammy for Best Rap Album this weekend, nominee Lupe Fiasco is taking himself out of the race. With the stiff competition in the category, the Chi-town rapper says he can forget about it.

"Every album since 'Food & Liquor,' my first official release, has been nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammys," he says in a radio interview with Jenny Boom Boom during a pre-show event for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. "No. Clearly I won't [win]. Nas, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz and the Roots. Ah yeah, it is Drake. Forgot about Drake."

Nas' 'Life is Good,' 2 Chainz's 'Based on a T.R.U. Story,' Drake's 'Take Care,' Rick Ross' 'God Forgives, I Don't' and the Roots' 'undun' are all competing with Lupe for the trophy.

"I think they'll give it to Nas," he predicts. "I think they'll give it to Nas, to be honest."

Last month, news spread that his forthcoming album, ‘Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 2,’ was canceled. When asked what scrapping the project really meant, Lupe was short but confident. "Canceled, that's it," he continues. "Still Lupe. I'm still grounded in my work and creative passions."

Some of those passions include his DJ work with SNDCLSH, a DJ duo helmed by himself and Sky Gellatly.
