Lil Wayne, ‘Tha Carter III’ – Legendary Rap Albums of the 2000s

Lil Wayne has been rapping since the tender age of 14, and had a few moderate hits before releasing his sixth studio album, 'Tha Carter III.'

The project became the New Orleans native's best-selling and first No. 1 Billboard album. The record also solidified Wayne's worldwide success.

'Lollipop,' 'A Milli,' 'Get Money' and 'Mrs. Officer' became the soundtrack to the summer of 2008, and beyond. The album eventually took the Grammy for Best Rap Album and was nominated for the coveted Album of the Year award.
