Lil Scrappy Arrested After Gas Station Altercation

The legal trouble continues for rapper-turned-reality TV star Lil Scrappy. He was arrested early Wednesday morning (Aug. 28) for a fight at a Georgia gas station.

According to TMZ, the scuffle happened after another man apparently disrespected Lil Scrappy's girlfriend. An off-duty officer broke up the fight, and soon after, on-duty officers arrived at the scene to arrest the two for disorderly conduct around 2:33 AM.

The 'Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta' star was reportedly cooperative while in custody. "He was calling my girlfriend names and then put his hands on me ... so I had to lay them paws on him," Scrappy told TMZ. His lawyer, Mawuli Mel Davis, says there is video evidence of Scrappy purely acting in self-defense.

Scrappy was arrested earlier this year after refusing to submit to another urine test as a result of sending in a cold sample. He was required to do so as part of his probation after a 2008 marijuana possession arrest.
