Keyshia Cole doesn't play second fiddle to anyone. The R&B songbird recently scolded Bay Area radio station KMEL for putting her in second place on their Holiday House of Soul concert lineup, serving as the opening act for the Weeknd.

Since the show takes place in her hometown of Oakland, Calif., Cole felt she should get top billing. She shared her anger over the situation via Twitter on the night of the concert (Dec. 17). “EVERY F---ING YEAR I do something major for my city! @KMEL has the nerve to tell me at the last minute they want me to open for the weeknd," she tweeted (spotted by Hip-Hop Wired). “No disrespect to the weeknd. Why the hell would @106KMEL ask me to open for him in My home town! Where I give back! Where IM FROM! #NO."

Cole finished her rant with this statement:

Usually when u do these radio shows u open depending on how that set goes. No problem wit opening. But did u guys know I have my own day in the "O"?

However, officials at KMEL told TMZ that Cole was never scheduled to be the headliner. "When we were notified a week before her performance that she planned to cancel, we immediately removed her name from all advertising and promotion and offered refunds to those fans who requested," they said.

The show went on as scheduled. Crooner Jeremih stepped in as Cole's replacement.
