Kendrick Lamar, Drake Highlight Gun Violence in ‘Poetic Justice’ Video

Kendrick Lamar finally put out a visual for the fan favorite, Drake-assisted track ‘Poetic Justice,’ off the West Coast emcee’s debut album, ‘good kid, m.A.A.d. city.’

In the music video, Kendrick finds love in a Cali parking lot but tragedy soon strikes him and his lady. Drake calls Kendrick to relay his verse in the song, but alas, K. Dot is not able to answer his call. Love found and lost.

Prior to the video, Kendrick made a public plea to Janet Jackson — his song samples her ‘Anytime Anyplace’ — to appear in the video. “We’re still crossing our fingers right now,” Kendrick told MTV News earlier this month about the Janet cameo. Unfortunately, Ms. Jackson did not accept the invite.
