It’s rare to see Kanye West doing much press these days, but a couple weeks after talking to the New York Times in a revealing interview, he sits down with W Magazine to answer some questions about his fashion sense, true love and is ego.

In the interview, West details his motivation for creating his song, ‘I Am a God,' saying that a fashion designer told him he’d be invited to a certain show if he didn’t go to another one.

“Nobody can tell me where I can and can’t go," he said. “Man, I’m the No. 1 living and breathing rock star. I am Axl Rose; I am Jim Morrison; I am Jimi Hendrix.”

He also revealed who really is picking out the clothes in the West-Kardashian household -- it's not him. “Nobody can tell my girl what to do,” he said after social media went into a frenzy after an episode of 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians,' in which he picked out some clothes for her.

His appearance on the show proves the love he has for her. “At a certain point, or always, love is more important than any branding, or any set of cool people, or attempting to impress anyone. Because true love is just the way you feel,” the G.O.O.D. Music leader explained.

As for his future, he's trying not to let his ego get in the way of business opportunities. “On one end, I try to scale it back,” he stated. “Because I don’t want to close any of the doors needed to create the best product possible. But my ego is my drug. My drug is, ‘I’m better than all you other motherf---ers. Kiss my ass!’”

Kanye West’s sixth solo studio album, 'Yeezus,' is available now for download and in stores. Visit W Magazine for the full interview.
