Kanye West Performs New Song, Gives Angry Rant at Adult Swim Upfront Party

It’s been a while since we’ve heard a good rant from Kanye West and he didn’t disappoint at Adult Swim’s Upfront Party in New York on Wednesday (May 15).

The mercurial producer appeared in the middle of an all-white pyramid with an electrical storm projected on the screen behind him. Yeezy performed a lengthy set of his classic hits like ‘Mercy,’ ‘Jesus Walks’ and ‘Clique.’ Additionally, he premiered a new Auto-Tune-driven song called ‘Awesome.’

But, of course, the highlight of the show was his rant.

During his tirade, he spoke about his run-in with the paparazzi recently in which he bumped his head on a metal pole. Frustrated by the paps intrusion, he lashed out at one of them, which was caught on video.

“I don’t know if y’all know this one thing about me, but I ain’t no motherf—in’ celebrity,” West told the crowd. “One thing about me, I’m the worst kinda … celebrity because all I do is make real music. All I do is sit in the studio and make real, real s—. And that’s it.”

“That’s mother—-in’ it. That’s mother—-in’ it,” he continued. “So I don’t want nobody trying to run up on me with no cameras, trying to sell pictures and s— to magazines, asking me no dumbass questions, throwing me off of my focus and s—. Harassing you all mother—-in’ day. I ain’t no mother—-in’ celebrity.”

Uh, we hate to break this to you Kanye, but you are a motherf—in’ celebrity. In fact, you’re one of the biggest celebrities in the world.

But we get it — you hate the paparazzi.

Kanye West’s next performance will be on ‘Saturday Night Live’ this Saturday on NBC at 11:30PM ET.
