John Legend will embark on a major North American trek this fall. The R&B piano man will perform on his Made to Love tour in support of his upcoming new album, 'Love in the Future.'

The 27-city jaunt kicks off Oct. 21 in New York and will hit major cities like Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Nashville, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Las Vegas and Los Angeles before wrapping up in Phoenix, Ariz., on Dec. 3.

Legend is eager to release his new album -- his first solo effort in five years.

"I'm excited. It has been a while since I put a solo album out," he told Robin Roberts on 'Good Morning America.' "It was time for some new music, so we're ready to go."

The set's first single, 'Made to Love,' is currently available on iTunes.

John Legend's fourth album, 'Love in the Future,' will hit shelves on Sept. 3.
