In-demand rapper Joey Bada$$ teams up with hot producer Harry Fraud for the jazzy new song, 'Day in the Life.' The effort will appear on the 'New York Renaissance' mixtape presented by Peter Rosenberg.

Over a somber production of keyboards, horns and a plodding beat, the Pro Era leader spits introspective rhymes about hectic life then and now.

"At the back of my mind I'm held hostage / Incarcerated flow, they got me locked up and blocked up my chakras / Only thing on my conscious is contracts and contests / Can't burn no bridges, already no calling back to the n---- / I used to be when, s--- was new to me move indubitably / Honeys always talking about they nudity / But stay including me to the exclusivities," he raps.

Joey is almost finished recording his new album, which should be out this year. The Brooklyn native also went on Twitter recently to thank his fans for their ongoing support. "Im grateful for so much. Eye have a beautiful family, beautiful girl, beautiful friends... What more can eye ask for?" he tweeted. "And how could eye forget.. The best fans in the world yall made it possible for me."

Peter Rosenberg's 'New York Renaissance' mixtape is out now.
