Joey Bada$$ Unites With DJ Premier for ‘Unorthodox’ Track

Old school meets new school on 'Unorthodox,' a new collaboration produced by DJ Premier and features Joey Bada$$.

Over the weekend, Primo debuted the track on the SiriusXM radio show Hip Hop Nation.

Joey brings his younger energy to the somber boom bap, as he reps his Brooklyn set Pro Era, and shares tales of the struggle surrounding him. Yet he's not coy about outlining high expectations for his rap career. "Won’t sign to no major of no wager / Less than a 3 million offer off the top," Joey raps.

With confidence in his negotiation, Joey may just get what he's asking for one day. In the meantime, we hope to hear more collabs from the two and perhaps Joey and his Pro Era crew can continue jumping on fresh tracks from golden era producers.
