James Brown, Tupac Shakur Featured in ‘Django Unchained’ Theme Song

The upcoming Quentin Tarantino-directed film 'Django Unchained' will have a theme song that matches the action-packed, aggressively-charged western film.

For the mash-up 'Unchained,' the Godfather of soul James Brown's 'The Payback' comes full circle with 2Pac's 'The Payback.' The track was mixed by the West Coast emcee's engineer Claudio Cueni.

The two widely celebrated posthumous acts on the movie's theme song makes the effort commemorative. The film's soundtrack, to be released on Dec. 18, will also feature Rick Ross and John Legend.

'Django Unchained' starring Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kerry Washington, hits theaters Dec. 25.
