Former hip-hop executive Irv Gotti may be returning to the music industry. The New York Post reports that former Warner Music Group CEO Lyor Cohen has enlisted Gotti for his top-secret management company.

The deal for Gotti and Cohen to become partners could be solidified this week. In addition, the Inc. Records founder is rumored to be managing Drake's career while Cohen will be advising Kanye West on his business dealings.

“If Lyor and Irv do work together, it’s possible they’ll have two of the biggest hip-hop stars under their management," a source told the newspaper after a photo surfaced online of Gotti meeting with Drizzy at a secret location. However, Gotti and Cohen's first clients are all hearsay, considering both Drake and Yeezy are being advised by management group Hip-Hop Since 1978.

Gotti once worked with Cohen at Def Jam Records and formed the influential record label Murder Inc. (later changed to The Inc.) with flagship artists Ja Rule and Ashanti. Gotti has tried to get back in the music game for several years now. Last year, he appeared on MTV's RapFix to plead his case on why he should be the new President over at Def Jam. Unfortunately, Gotti lost the gig to music executive Joie Manda.

We hope this partnership comes to fruition. Gotti and Cohen are elite hip-hop executives who could bring some new energy into the music business.
