Red Cafe has long been one of the underground MCs who reps Brooklyn, N.Y., to the fullest. Born Jermaine Denny, Red Cafe turns 39 years old today (Sept. 19).

Red Cafe has been signed to Fabolous' Street Family Records, Diddy's Bad Boy Records and Interscope. However, he hasn't released a full-length album and had his star relegated to mostly underground status. However, he's been keeping busy by releasing a new mixtape almost every year including his 2014 project, American Psycho 2. The "Making Me Proud" rapper has also collaborated with the likes of Pete Rock, Omarion and Fat Joe.

The Brooklyn rhymer's two moderately successful songs were "Things You Do," the 2008 single with DJ Envy and Nina Sky, and the brass-sampling remix to French Montana's "Shot Caller."

In the end, Red Cafe stays on his grind and is keeping his eyes on the prize. Hopefully, that will include a new studio album.
