With southern rap rising and East Coast emcees still pushing out hits, the West Coast hadn't produced any big new artists in some time. That's until Game came through and represented.

The rapper's debut LP, 'The Documentary,' boasted numerous gritty hits with the help of the hottest rapper at the time, 50 Cent. 'Hate It or Love It' was a No. 1 R&B/Hip Hop song and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

'How We Do' was also commercially successful. But Game handled his own on the Kanye West-produced 'Dreams,' a tribute to late legends including Martin Luther King Jr., Aaliyah and the Notorious B.I.G.
