Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Andre Berto in an unanimous decision at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night (Sept. 12). With the victory, Mayweather retires undefeated at 49-0. After the fight, rappers went on Twitter to congratulate Mayweather’s impressive win.

During a post-fight interview, the Michigan native announced that he’s leaving the game of boxing. “I’ve been in this sport for 19 years, champion for 18, and you gotta know when enough is enough,” he said. “I had a great career. My record speaks for itself. I really want to be with my family now. I’m leaving with all my faculties. I still feel I’m smart and sharp."

True indeed. Mayweather, arguably, will go down in history at the best fighter in the history of boxing. Despite his successful career as a box, Mayweather has also received a lot of criticism for glorifying money and his questionable past with domestic violence. Recently, a report came out that Mayweather was allegedly given an intravenous injection of a banned substance before his major fight with Manny Pacquiao.

Nevertheless, rappers went on Twitter to salute Mayweather on his incredible win and wish him a great retirement. "Floyd 'Money' Mayweather. The Best Ever," tweeted TDE co-president Terrence "Punch" Henderson. "Congrats @floydmayweather!!Now it's time to party!!!" wrote Diddy.
