Fan Hit by Miguel’s Leg at Billboard Music Awards May Have Brain Injury

Migue Billboard Music Awards

Uh oh! We’re still talking about Miguel‘s epic leg drop at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, since he landed on an unsuspecting fan’s head. The victim may have suffered some sort of brain damage as a result of her head colliding with the stage after Miguel’s leg landed on her.

Vip Bhola, a lawyer for Khyati Shah, the victim, confirmed that his client is having some cognitive issues. He told TMZ, “Some of the difficulties she’s experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury.”

Shah underwent neurological testing and the results are expected next week. Upon review of the results, her lawyer will decide whether to pursue a lawsuit.

Her lawyer also claims that the staff at the BMAs did not do much to respond to the accident or the victim, brandishing her with an ice pack that was meant for a bruised elbow. He is miffed that his client was not rushed to the hospital after sustaining a head injury.

In case you missed Miguel’s leg drop, which looked like a WWE move, you can view it below. The collision takes place at around the 24-second mark. While likely unintentional on Miguel’s part, it does look like a painful clothesline move.

We send our best to Shah.
