Good grief! The tax man is on a mission in 2013. R&B singer Faith Evans is the latest artist to be in tax trouble.

According to TMZ, the 'R&B Divas' star was slapped with a tax lien by the State of California for $29,500 in unpaid taxes from 2011.

Evans joins a list of artists who have had a visit by the Internal Revenue Service.

Fellow R&B singer Mary J. Blige is under a mountain of debt. She's currently facing a $3.4 tax lien from the IRS.

And then there are rappers Lauryn Hill and Fat Joe, who are both currently in legal trouble for tax evasion.

The Bronx rhymer admitted that he owed taxes and is awaiting to see if he'll do jail time despite paying back what he owed to the government.

Unfortunately, Ms. Hill didn't fare too well. Despite paying $970,000 towards her debt, a judge sentenced her to three months in prison. The former Fugees member is tentatively scheduled to start her prison sentence July 8. It’s unclear where she will serve her time.

Again, we must say, artists need to keep an eye on their financial matters. This is beginning to sound like a broken record to us.
