Rock legend Elvis Costello and the Roots have teamed up for a collaborative album titled 'Wise Up Ghost.' The set's first single is the infectious 'Walk Us Uptown.'

The ska rock steady-influenced song boasts Questlove's rollicking drum grooves, moody bass playing, blaring horns and Costello's throaty vocals.

Now if you are not sure about the words, Costello and the Roots just released a lyric video so you can sing along and repeat the chorus, "Will you walk us uptown?"

In the clip, Costello, wearing a snazzy brim hat, puts the needle on the record as Questlove starts turning the crank on the vintage record player. Then the words pop up on crumbled pieces of paper.

This musical relationship started when Costello performed as a guest on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' last year. The artists loved the music they were creating on the show so they decided to make an album together. It sounds like a musical match made in heaven.

This is the Roots' third collaborative project. The hip-hop band first teamed up with John Legend on 'Wake Up' in 2010. Then in 2011, the Roots collaborated with Booker T. on 'The Road to Memphis' LP and Betty Wright on her album, 'Betty Wright: The Movie.'

Elvis Costello and the Roots' collaborative project, 'Wise Up Ghost,' is due out Sept. 17. You can pre-order the album via Amazon.
