When Drake puts his support behind a new artist, his fans and critics take note.

Enter PARTYNEXTDOOR, a burgeoning singer from Mississauga, Canada signed to the rapper's OVO imprint. The 'Nothing Was the Same' creator helped introduce him to the world last Saturday (June 22) when he released their collaboration, 'Over Here,' a rhythmic track featuring hints of electro, soft drums and fluttering piano keys.

The newcomer details a relationship that once was -- this couple was to do "big things" together. "Girl this summer, you'll be looking for / You’ll looking for me while I’m riding in / That brand new whip you wanted / All I ever asked for was patience," he coos on the song.

"Go to Jungle pick up my Ethiopian goddess / That's when word spread a Bugatti is in the projects / The boy home / Used to take the bust to the block / Now summertime whips come through and bus up the block," Drake rhymes.

'Over Here' will appear on PARTYNEXTDOOR's self-titled project, arriving July 1. The effort features 10 songs, including the sexual ode 'Wuz Good / Curious' and the money-making banger 'Make A Mil.'

Showcasing vocals rooted in R&B and tinged with some added flavor, PARTYNEXTDOOR delivers a unique sound and identifiable lyrics suited for summer listening.
