Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex may have some more fodder for his fiery rants against Power 105's DJ Clue after the latter's recent legal troubles.

The popular radio DJ found himself in hot water with the NYPD early Wednesday morning (April 3).

Clue, born Ernesto Shaw, was riding through Manhattan in his black Range Rover when he was stopped at a police checkpoint. According to NBC 4 New York, the police found that his license had been suspended eight times. When they proceeded to arrest Clue, officers found three pills wrapped in foil on his person.

The police took Shaw into custody, charging him with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operator.

In the 1990s, Clue was one of hip-hop's most popular mixtape DJs. He also worked as a mix DJ for NYC's Hot 97.

In later years, Clue was signed to Roc-A-Fella under the Def Jam umbrella as an artist. His 'The Professional' compilations were a hit with the hip-hop community and his own imprint, Desert Storm, birthed the career of Brooklyn emcee Fabolous.

Eventually, Clue found his way to the city's younger station Power 105.1 and has been in the middle of quite a few of Flex's infamous rants ever since.
