New Orleans rapper Curren$y hit the East Coast as hip-hop heads from New York City's five boroughs, New Jersey and more kicked off 2013 by lining up last night (Jan. 3) in front of the intimate venue S.O.B.'s to catch him perform.

Curren$y took the stage well after 11p.m. with his beautiful DJ who got the crowd going. People lit up their doobies and sang along as Spitta tore up the stage to favorites such as ‘Roasted,’ ‘King Kong,’ ‘Elevator Music,’ ‘Jet Life’ and many more.

Whether the songs were new and well-known hits or early jams, most of the crowd belted out the words with deafening power. The crowd brought a smile to his face as he took a few breaks from the mic and listened to his fans sing his lyrics.

A talented rapper with charismatic stage presence, the New Orleans native genuinely appreciates and knows exactly how to connect to his fans, many of whom have been with him since the start of his career.

Fellow New Orleans rapper Chase N. Cashe gave an energetic performance during his time onstage. Other acts of the night included Dave East, G-Two and Gramz.
