By now you know that Chris Brown is back in the spotlight promoting his forthcoming album 'X.' His first single, 'Fine China,' shows the 23-year-old is making a return to his early R&B roots on the upcoming project.

But could Brown be experimenting with country music in the near future? During an interview with Charlotte radio station Power 98 on Monday (April 22), he spoke about his various musical influences and said he's considering taking on the challenge.

“Music is for everyone,” he said. “When you put genres on music, you segregate it. I want to always be able to do any kind of music I want. When I get older I might want to do a country album. Next year, I might want to do an all hip-hop album or alternative album. Just making sure that anything that goes down, showing my audience or showing people that have a creative mind that you can do anything you want, it’s just about believing and loving what you’re doing in a positive way.”

This is not surprising for Brown. The singer's last album, 'Fortune,' was his own interpretation of pop and electronic dance music and he previously laid down rap bars on his 'In My Zone (Rhythm & Streets)' mixtape released in 2010.

C.B.'s sixth studio album, 'X,' will hit shelves in June or July of this year.
