Chris Brown showed up solo dolo on the 2013 Grammy Awards red carpet with a clean white suit Sunday night. Some rumors were going around that Rihanna would be on his arm but the singer held it down his own.

Ryan Seacrest, who was hosting the red carpet for E!, asked the crooner about a car accident he was involved in while driving in Los Angeles. Brown crashed his Porsche as he was on his way to a charity event on Saturday night (Feb. 9) — according to his rep, “Chris’ vehicle was totaled due to this aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi.”

Brown tells Seacrest he was grateful to have no injuries. “It’s cool. I’m fine,” he says. “A little bit of bumps. I’m good though.”

Of his favorite artists nominated this year, the ‘Fortune’ creator mentions Miguel. “He’s doing his thing,” Brown states.

When asked what he wanted to see from music in 2013, Brown speaks about getting back to real music. “I think some of the music is gimmicky,” he said. “I mean, some of my music is gimmicky.” CB also said he wants to get back to  “the real band” and essence of entertaining.

Breezy is nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album for his album ‘Fortune.’ He competes against Miguel for ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ and Frank Ocean for ‘Channel Orange’ in that category.
