If there was any rapper that ruled the Chicago hip-hop scene in 2012, it was Chief Keef. His single, 'I Don't Like,' not only caught the attention of the Windy City music fans but also turned Kanye West into a fan. West liked the song so much that he released a remix version of the track with Pusha T, Big Sean and Jadakiss. The music video for the track has reached over 25 million views since it went up in March last year.

Rapping about his experiences in Chicago, hardly anyone realizes that this rapper is still only a teenager. For instance, the young rhymer was involved in a shooting that put him under house arrest at his grandmother's house for a month. Despite the time he had to do, this didn't stop Keef from penning more lyrics and spitting more rhymes.

After signing with Interscope Records, Keef released 'Finally Rich' in December, which topped off at No. 2 on the R&B and Hip-Hop Billboard charts. The rapper is currently in the studio with West in Paris.
