The Voice

The second installment of the battle round on ‘The Voice’ was Dullsville for the most part. A majority of the performances had no wow factors and bland performances were aplenty.

This week on ‘The Voice,’ the battle segment begins, where each team member picks two contestants to perform a song against one another in hopes to reach the next round. Each coach also has a high-profile mentor to lend advice to every contestant.

It was a short and sweet episode of 'The Voice,' as the judges were searching to complete their teams.

Kicking off this last week of blind auditions on 'The Voice,' Jeff Lewis took a brave chance by performing Usher's most notable joint ,'U Got It Bad,' with a stripped-down rendition. The judges kept us at the edge of our seats wondering if they were going to let Jeff slip through their fingers. Last night’s episode of 'The Voice' was the same humdrum blind auditions. There weren’t many outstanding performances nor were there major letdowns. It seems like they’re saving some of the bigger blind auditions for the last session, next week.

After the first episode of 'The Voice,' it was hard to see any chemistry between the judges, but as the show moves forward, the gang is starting to fall into their niche. Last night's episode of ‘The Voice’ was short and sweet compared to Monday's season premiere. We saw about six really good contestants and there was fun banter between the judges. I still believe the chemistry between all four of them is forced but hopefully by the live shows, they'll all be more comfortable with one another.

Monday night was the season premiere of 'The Voice' and Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green took a break from the show while Shakira and Usher took their place. Early on, the dynamic and chemistry between all of the judges (including Adam Levine and Blake Sheldon) didn’t match previous seasons. But it’s not about the judges, it’s about the talent.
