Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly, one-half of the rap group Kris Kross, passed away Wednesday afternoon (May 1) from unknown causes, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Kelly was 34 years old.

A member of Future's FreeBandz team was shot and killed Thursday (April 11) by an unknown gunman during rush hour in Atlanta. While the victim's identity has not been confirmed by police, AllHipHop is reporting that it was rapper OG Double D.

Original Spinners member Bobbie Smith, who sang lead on 'I'll Be Around,' 'Could It Be I'm Falling in Love' and other tunes, passed away Saturday (March 16) in Orlando, Fla., due to complications from pneumonia and influenza. He was 76.

On March 1, former No Limit rapper Mr. Magic, and his wife, Chastity, were killed in a car accident. Fellow rhyme-slinger Snoop Dogg pays tribute to Mr. Magic on the elegiac ode, 'Heaven.'
