Burnell Taylor Performs ‘Flying Without Wings’ on ‘American Idol’

On 'American Idol,' Burnell Taylor put his own twist on Westlife’s ‘Flying Without Wings,’ which during season two, Ruben Studdard performed.

In a very smokey performance -- no really, the fog machine was on overdrive during Burnell’s set -- the crooner delivered the tune with velvety vocals.

Randy Jackson was incredibly impressed by his rendition, saying Burnell finally came into his own and he “believes” in himself. Nicki Minaj loved the fact that he always put his “own twist to it” and made the song his own.
