Bun B hasn't released a mixtape or album in three years. But as he gears up to drop a new LP in 2013, the Texas O.G. isn't stingy at all. He's decided to load us up with 17 new tracks on the 'Trill 3' mixtape.

His fellow Lone Star Staters Paul Wall, Slim Thug and Auto-Tune lover Kirko Bangz join him on the project. Other southern-bred comrades making an appearance on the tape include 2 ChainzB.o.B and Big K.R.I.T.

Although 'Trill 3' provides hard-slapping bass, knock and the expected chopped and screwed sound, Bun B allows a little bit of room for a few New York emcees on the effort. Styles P is one who assists on the Lex Luger track, 'Yo Trill S---.'

P raps, "One eye open CBS / In the fight to the death you don't need a ref / If your heart stops n----s you don't need a breath." Bun B is also making threats he plans to fulfill spitting, "But the fact remains I'm getting at you when I see you / And if we don't see eye-to-eye them I'ma leave you see-through."

With 'On the Kush,' Bun B, B.o.B. and Big K.R.I.T. got five on it and 20 on the drinks while they're so gone in the club. The track is reminiscent of UGK's 'International Players Anthem (I Choose You).' The happy horns are sampled from the Five Stairsteps' 1969 track, 'We Must Be in Love.'

Another standout track is the tunnel vision anthem 'Allergic,' where 8 Ball and Killer Mike stay away from phony, fakes, suckers and snakes cause they're allergic. "But if there’s one that I’ve learned in all my time in this game / Is don’t make hoe n----s and hoes s--- take you out of your lane," raps Bun B. Duly noted.

Overall, Bun B gives us something to talk about until he serves up the real thing. His fourth studio album, 'Trill 4 Life,' is tentatively scheduled to hit shelves later this year. The project is a follow-up to his third album, 'Trill OG,' released in 2010.
