Bodega Bamz Reps His Tan Flag in ‘Navy’ Video
Remember Bodega Bamz, one of the artists we put you onto as part of McDonald’s Urban Bytes series? The Spanish Harlem-bred rapper proves exactly why he’s a rising talent to pay attention to in the new video for his Tanboys anthem, ‘Navy,’ produced by P on the Boards.
Directed by Ben Greenblatt, Bamz takes a trip to Corona, Queens with his crew in tow — World’s Fair, another rap outfit in the New New York movement, even make cameos. What plays out is a day in the life of the rapper, from a cut in the barbershop to strolling through the streets to sitting back with some Hennessy in hand.
“That tan flag that’s all me,” Bamz boasts with a slew of Tanboys, including Willie Hex, on the block behind him.
‘Navy’ arrives just in time for the emcee’s festival stage performance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam XX taking place June 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J..
